Forget apologizing for being behind and saying I'm trying to catch up. Let's just assume from now on that I'll always be behind and trying to catch up, okay?
On to other subjects. The holidays are coming up way too fast. If you're looking for a really special gift, I have to say that finding someone willing to custom-make something for that special someone on your list is awesome. Or failing that, at least finding something unique and hand-made. DeviantArt is fantastic for this.
I go nuts trying to come up with gifts for the people I care about. They're all very tough to shop for. One of those people is my utterly wonderful husband. And this is where I turn my journal into an unsolicited ad for another dA member: CosmicFolklore. I saw one of his stunning ouroboros pieces:
and just knew that something like that would be perfect for my husband. I contacted him, and he worked with me to find a combination of materials and style that my husband would enjoy and I could afford. As a result, I have a one-of-a-kind, utterly stunning gift for the most special person in my life. If he were here, I would give him a but instead, I'll have to settle for telling all you other holiday shoppers about people like him. Go give him or another dA artist your business this holiday season. Instead of supporting a mega-manufacturer that assembly-lines stuff, support an artist.
And on that note, here's today's feature of a bunch of amazing dA artists who sell their work (prints or otherwise) here or on other sites. Today is part 1, a bunch of artists whose usernames begin with A, all pulled from the list of folks I have on watch here. (More to come in later installments!) If there's an artist I missed that you want to support this holiday season, link to them!

Just watching for now...
Not so much with the taking photos for now, and I'm no longer selling stuff at Bonanza. Mostly I'm collecting cool art, particularly for my 'characters' collection. I'm also writing a ton of great book reviews, so if you want to see those, they're here: http://www.errantdreams.com/
Moved from Etsy to Bonanza...
For anyone looking for my Etsy booth, you can now find my jewelry, bookmarks, and hair sticks at Bonanza instead: http://www.bonanza.com/booths/errantdreams
I'm currently in the middle of gradually adding some bookmarks and hair sticks.
As for the two years during which I went missing... one of my medications was changed, and it seriously messed with my energy levels. Now that I'm off of that medication, I have a lot more energy and I'm starting to keep up with more things. Hopefully that means dA as well!
More than two years!
Good lord. I've been gone for the last two years. Not sure how that happened. Anyway, I'm hoping to once again start posting some photos, although I'm not sure how regularly! I'm hoping to take a bunch of photos of some of the hair sticks I've been making lately.
Custom Gifts and Feature I
Argh! I had this two-thirds done and then an ill-fated keystroke wiped it out. Well, time to reconstruct.
Anyway. As I had been saying the first time 'round. I know this series won't be done in time for the winter holidays (cat illness has thrown off my schedule something fierce), but there are plenty more occasions for which you might want to support an artist and buy a loved one something unusual and special at the same time. Birthdays. Late holiday presents. Thank-you gifts. Anniversaries. So, I definitely plan to finish this series, even if it won't be done in time for the holidays!
Note that I can't be sure all the crafters shown
