This started out as an experiment, but I love how it turned out! I traded a few of my freshwater pearls to a friend for some beautifully tarnished silver heart beads she didn't want. Then instead of polishing them up or using them together, I used them as centerpieces in these wire-wrapped chokers. I used brass wire on a black leather choker. I wrapped it several times around the leather, strung three cranberry-colored freshwater cultured pearls on, wrapped it several more times. Then I strung two more pearls, the heart, and two more pearls, followed by another wrap. Finally, three more pearls and the finishing wrap, to make it symmetrical.
As I was doing it I wasn't so certain of how it would turn out, but I was thrilled with the results. It has a unique look to it that goes great with jeans and a T-shirt or the casual dressiness of a sundress or a nice black shirt or dress.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
